The Detail Work That Defines a Heritage Property
In many older properties, the staircase and panelling are the most visible expression of the original craftsmanship. They are also among the most difficult elements to restore well — original profiles need to be matched, appropriate materials sourced, and finishes applied that are both durable and sympathetic to the period.
We approach this work methodically. Before any stripping or refinishing begins, we assess the structural condition, identify what can be saved, and agree a course of action with the client. The goal is always to preserve as much original material as possible.
